Job summary

Munters is seeking a Field Service Technician to travel extensively to customer sites, diagnosing and repairing commercial/industrial HVACR equipment. You will train customers, submit field reports, and support sales and service with professional communication.

The role requires 3–5 years in HVAC, a willingness to travel 80% (including plane travel), and HVAC schooling or equivalent, with PPE and outdoor work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Job description

Field Service Technician

South Carolina (requires 80% travel, including air travel)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Our Field Service Technicians travel to customer sites to safely repair, troubleshoot, and maintain commercial and industrial dehumidification equipment. Travel to customer sites to perform service and customer support.

Diagnose and correct malfunctions on all equipment.

Provide customer training on standard Munters equipment.

Provide technical feedback on equipment by submitting detailed field service reports.

Communicate professionally with customers in a service-orientated manner both in person, writing and proper phone skills.

Promote sales and service on company equipment.

Able to independently flex between competing priorities to keep improvement activities moving.

Computer aptitude; Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

3-5 years’ experience in the commercial or industrial HVAC industry and/or a combination of work experience and the successful completion of HVAC/R vocational school

• Ability to travel extensively 80% and ability to travel via plane.
• Experience with HVAC/Refrigeration systems and components
• PLC (Programmable Logical Controls) highly preferred
• Basic knowledge of electrical schematics
• HVAC school or equivalent
• HVAC/R WITH COMMERCIAL/INDUSTRIAL
• You must wear personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety boots, hard hats, and hearing protection where the company requires.
• Ability to travel and be away from home for several days at a time.
• Willingness to occasionally work weekends and/or holidays.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
• Willingness and ability to use PPE and safety equipment harness and tie off points.
