Job summary

Mobile Modular Management Corporation is seeking a Service Technician to maintain, troubleshoot and repair modular HVAC equipment at customer sites. You will perform problem solving and routine maintenance for mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems on modular buildings, updating asset information and traveling to various locations in a company vehicle.

Ideal candidates have HVAC troubleshooting experience, a construction/maintenance background, and the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting HVAC system issues.
• Background in construction, maintenance or related work.
• Ability to communicate with customers regarding work status and service concerns.
• Must be able to do local travel daily in Central FL area in a Company Truck.
• May be required to drive extended distances to customer sites in Company truck.
• Occasional overnight travel to jobsites further from Auburndale, FL.

• Perform maintenance and service repairs on heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems.
• Install new HVAC units or replacement parts according to specifications and safety guidelines.
• Perform plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, flooring, ceiling and electrical tasks in the field.
• Ensure safety, quality and productivity at customer locations.
• Maintain customer-facing professionalism to protect company reputation.
• Maintain inspection logs for equipment and vehicles and report exceptions.

“A Day in the Life”

As a Service Technician you will maintain, troubleshoot and repair Modular HVAC equipment in the field at customer sites. You will also perform problem solving and routine maintenance for but not limited to mechanical, construction, electrical and plumbing systems on the modular buildings. Update and record information on company assets and systems. Perform routine evaluations of work to be performed. Safely operate Company provided vehicle (possibly both > and <10,000lbs GVW) to travel to various locations and service modular and related equipment. Duties include installing and repairing equipment, and training customer employees on how to maintain machinery. Perform trial run of machinery to ensure performance rates and quality meet established specifications while delivering exceptional customer experiences.

“What You’ll Do”

• Perform maintenance and service repairs on heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems
• Install new HVAC units or replacement parts for existing units according to specifications and established safety guidelines
• Perform troubleshooting, maintenance service, repairs and construction in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, flooring, ceiling and electrical in the field
• Responsible for the safety, quality and productivity of themselves at all customer locations
• Responsible for positive interface with the customer and ensuring the company’s reputation is improved with every customer contact
• Maintain inspection log(s) for equipment/vehicle and properly report exceptions; ensure equipment is maintained to Company and safety standards
• Ability to safely perform all tasks and understand Company’s safety policies and procedures
• Deliver a high quality output consistent with the Company’s construction standards
• Operate Company vehicle
• Able to read and understand blueprints, schematics, procedures and Company specific work orders, work instructions and floor plans provided
• Able to work outside in variable weather conditions
• Ability to use both manual and power tools and follow operating guidelines
• Perform other duties as assigned

Must Haves

• Experience with troubleshooting HVAC system issues
• Prior experience in construction, maintenance or related work
• Ability to communicate with Customer’s regarding work status and service concerns
• Must be able to do local travel daily in Central FL area in a Company Truck
• May be required to drive extended distances to customer sites in Company truck to further locations
• Able to do occasional overnight travel to perform work at jobsites further from Auburndale, FL in other parts of FL
• Valid driver’s license.

"Nice to Haves"

• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
• EPA universal certification combined with HVAC experience preferred, not required

• Position requires manual dexterity and the ability to maintain physical activity for most of the day
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and hold or lift a variety of objects
  • Able to carry, bend, stoop, turn, kneel, crawl, climb a ladder and other manual labor activities
