Job summary

Lakeshore Sport and Fitness in Chicago is seeking an organized, reliable In-house maintenance Technician to join our engineering team responsible for maintaining four large health club facilities. Key responsibilities include HVAC service, building maintenance, and customer interaction.

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of HVAC experience and communicate effectively with members and staff. A High School Diploma or GED is required, and tech education is a plus. Various shifts available, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

Job description

Lakeshore Sport & Fitness is looking for an organized, reliable In-house maintenance Technician to join our engineering team responsible for general upkeep of four 160,000+ square foot health club facilities. Primary responsibilities will be HVAC. Must have knowledge and a minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial HVAC service or building engineering. Candidate will also be required to perform a wide variety of semi-skilled building maintenance, general labor and light repair tasks, and perform any related duties as required. Specific knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems is a plus. Applicant must possess a working knowledge of building operational systems to ensure maximum up time on all systems and equipment. Works with the maintenance manager to order materials, schedule and plan work. Must be willing to deal with clientele regularly and with a smile. As this is an open and operating facility, member service comes first. Must exhibit initiative, responsibility, and be pro-active to keep work on track. This does not limit tasks that may be assigned but all will be related to maintenance and operations.
