Job summary

Team Kline is seeking an HVAC Estimator to assess project timelines, research market prices, and define project scopes while communicating with clients. This role aims to improve cost-estimating procedures and minimize discrepancies between estimates and actual costs.

The estimator will analyze blueprints, identify material quantities and costs, and help manage bids from pre-bid through project handoff, with occasional site visits to support accuracy.

Qualifications

• Two years of relevant estimating experience.
• Experience with estimating/reporting software (Wright Soft) is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interpret blueprints.
• Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints to determine ventilation/ductwork design and equipment sizing per codes.
• Identify quantity, type, and cost of materials and fixtures, and labor.
• Assess profitability to assist bidding decisions.
• Provide solutions to enhance project profitability.
• Complete and submit competitive bids per guidelines.
• Evaluate costs to decide in-house vs subcontracting.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and oversee pre-con meetings with PMs and foremen.
• Assist in managing change orders.
• Maintain communication with PMs and conduct post-project reviews.
