The Romanoff Group of Companies, headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking an HVAC Estimator to join our award-winning team. The role focuses on bidding, documenting, and estimating adjustments to ensure timely takeoffs for our projects.

We offer a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for advancement. This is a full-time position with standard Mon-Fri hours, and a strong emphasis on accuracy and collaboration with vendors and GCs.

Qualifications

• Required: 2+ years estimating experience or field experience.
• Preferred: Proficient in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and estimating software such as Wrightsoft.
• Preferred: Experience in computerized/digital takeoff.
• Must be able to work under minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Download and review all Bid Documents before setting up folders.
• Schedule review meetings.
• Perform equipment counts and understand the installation labor needed for each type.
• Use different programs to select and create equipment/material lists.
• Provide installation designs and equipment lists using builder/GC provided plans.
• Create and coordinate takeoff lists of new projects.
• Send RFQs to vendors for quoted items.
• Notify management when being considered for a project after a follow-up.
