Ahern, a leading mechanical and fire protection contractor, invites you to join its engineering team in Madison as an HVAC Engineering Intern. You will learn to prepare detailed layouts for HVAC projects under the mentorship of an experienced engineer, observe system design, assist with bid packages, and contribute to commissioning and startup planning.

You should be pursuing a bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or related field, be proficient in MS Office, and eager to deepen your knowledge

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related program.
• Comfortable with MS Office and software used in engineering tasks.
• Interest in deepening knowledge of mechanical systems and HVAC design.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed layouts for HVAC projects under the mentorship of an experienced engineer.
• Observe and support engineering oversight of system layouts, equipment selections, and layouts.
• Assist the estimating team with bid package information and project handover readiness.
