A leading engineering firm is seeking an experienced HVAC Engineer to design heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems for industrial and chemical plants. Candidates should possess a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and have at least 5 years of HVAC experience, including 2 years in an industrial setting. Knowledge of mechanical codes and ASHRAE standards is essential. This role may require some overnight travel and applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities
The HVAC Engineer has a variety of responsibilities including:
Heating, ventilating, and air conditioning design for industrial and chemical plants and related office facilities
Heating and cooling load calculations. Reviewing and applying recent applicable codes and standards (i.e., Mechanical, Fire, ASHRAE, NFPA, etc.)
Engineering of dust and fume collection systems
Plumbing system layout and sizing
Oversees the production of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection drawings
Interfaces with other engineering disciplines and clients
Performs field work by obtaining information, making field sketches, and verifying drawings
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree, PE desirable
5 years minimum HVAC experience with minimum 2 years industrial HVAC experience
Knowledge of mechanical and fire codes and NFPA and ASHRAE standards
