Job summary

UofL Health is seeking a skilled HVAC mechanic to operate and maintain essential building systems at Mary and Elizabeth - UMC. You will monitor the HVAC Energy Management System, perform inspections and repairs, and keep compliance documentation up to date.

The role requires basic training, with preferred HVAC apprenticeship or associate degree, and experience in industrial HVAC/refrigeration. Strong problem-solving and teamwork are essential in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• HVAC apprenticeship or 2-year degree preferred.
• 0–1 year experience in commercial/industrial HVAC and refrigeration required.

Responsibilities

• Monitors, troubleshoots and customizes the HVAC Energy Management System to optimize energy savings.
• Completes inspections and repairs of mechanical and refrigeration equipment per procedures to reduce downtime and costs.
• Maintains required documentation for equipment and systems per federal, state and regulatory agencies.
