Job summary

Oak View Group in Hartford, CT is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform journey-level and leadwork duties in the operation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC/R, electrical, plumbing, and related systems.

You will troubleshoot complex MEP systems, monitor building controls, and perform preventive maintenance. The role pays $33.00-$35.00 per hour under the current union agreement and requires CT licensure and availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Valid Connecticut trade license required.
• Experience with building automation systems helpful.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic IT.
• Experience in general property maintenance.
• Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform emergency, corrective, and preventative maintenance on HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Regularly monitor and adjust building automation controls for comfort and energy savings.
• Operate diverse facility equipment including kitchen equipment, door/lock repair, minor painting, and carpentry as needed.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance (lubrication, filter changes, inspections).
• Track daily activity via timesheets and CMMS.
• Create and close work orders with detailed notes.
• Perform event set-ups and coverage for functions as assigned.
• Communicate issues clearly with the manager and provide sound recommendations.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external clients.
