Job summary

Sylvester & Cockrum in Winston-Salem, NC, seeks an HVAC Sheet Metal Fabricator to join the Mechanical team. The role requires duct-work experience, sheet metal fabrication, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

You will plan production, interpret drawings, and manage fabrications from shop to field, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to specs. A valid license and 5+ years in HVAC duct work are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have experience working with duct work.
• Minimum 5 years of commercial HVAC sheet metal experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and shop drawings.
• Familiarity with SMACNA fabrication standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan daily and weekly production schedules.
• Review construction drawings, shop drawings, and specifications.
• Coordinate fabrication priorities with Project Managers and field supervisors.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
• Operate duct fabrication machinery and maintain shop inventory.
