Job summary

Gemaire Distributors in Winterville, NC is seeking a reliable Driver/Warehouse Associate to perform daily truck loading/unloading, deliver HVAC freight to customers, receive and stock merchandise, and verify orders for accuracy.

You will maintain daily truck and forklift maintenance checks, assist with inventory control, and ensure safety and neatness of grounds and warehouse; occasional extra hours on busy days. This role requires strong customer service and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Minimum 24 months of verifiable experience driving a 16’ minimum box truck or stake bed truck.
• Ability to multi-task and meet daily deadlines.
• Knowledge of common carrier (LTL) and full truckload logistics.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and provide superior service.
• Willingness to learn and grow with the company.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Commitment to customer service and a safe work environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities

• Daily loading and unloading of products.
• Assist with delivering and transporting HVAC freight and materials to customers.
• Receive, inspect and stock all merchandise.
• Verify all items received to items ordered for accuracy.
• Pick and verify orders for customers and prepare orders for shipment as needed.
• Collect invoices with proper signatures and return to Sales Center Manager.
• Maintain daily truck and forklift maintenance checks and report times with merchandise returns.
• Operate and maintain OF device; assist with inventory control.
• Read customer orders and shipping documents to move, gather, or ship items.
• Provide excellent customer service to external customers.
• Keep grounds and warehouse neat, orderly, and safe for employees and customers.
• Adhere to all safety requirements and wear PPE.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
