Job description
Overview

The HVAC Load Calculation Specialist for the Commercial Quote Team performs residential and light commercial load calculations, duct designs, and equipment selections following ACCA Manual J, S, and D standards. You’ll work closely with the sales and quoting teams to deliver accurate system designs that meet customer needs. May provide sales support to the field as required.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to customer inquiries about the company’s hydronic products and services, including pricing, availability, and lead times.
  • Estimate large residential and commercial hydronic jobs and assist sales representatives with quoting, proposal preparation, and bid documentation.
  • Enter customer orders, verify product specifications and delivery options, and process purchase orders for timely delivery of HVAC equipment.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain strong relationships with hydronic clients and contractors.
  • Work with team members to pursue new hydronic business opportunities and coordinate follow-ups on sales leads, proposals, and outstanding quotes.
  • Manage CRM entries, update client records, and track sales pipeline activities, preparing reports, forecasts, and performance metrics as needed.
  • Schedule meetings, site visits, and product presentations for the sales staff.
  • Liaise between sales, operations, and logistics to ensure seamless project execution.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Familiarity with sales cycles, quoting procedures, and proposal development.
  • Experience using platforms like Salesforce, HubSpot, or SAP for managing customer data and workflows.
  • Clear and professional verbal and written communication with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Experience
  • 2 years in customer service, inside sales, or administrative support role—preferably construction-related industry.
  • History of working with HVAC systems (even in a support or coordination capacity).
Education
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent, some college
Physical Requirements / Working Environment
  • Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations. Some travel may be required – up to 20%. Work schedule may extend outside of standard business hours and days.
