Job summary

Pan Gulf Technologies is seeking a Mechanical Engineer specialized in HVAC design with 4–9 years of experience to lead calculations, energy modeling, and duct systems for commercial and institutional projects.

The role integrates with architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and BIM teams to deliver accurate, code-compliant deliverables. Strong proficiency in Carrier HAP, TRACE, Revit MEP, and AutoCAD is required.

Qualifications

• 4–9 years of HVAC design experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred for calculation-intensive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare heating and cooling load calculations for commercial, institutional, and other building projects.
• Perform psychrometric analysis and outdoor air/ventilation calculations.
• Develop HVAC load and energy models using Carrier HAP and Trane TRACE 3D Plus.
• Conduct energy analysis, evaluate design alternatives, and document assumptions and results.
• Size supply, return, fresh air, and exhaust ductwork using appropriate design methodologies.
• Calculate duct pressure losses and total external static pressure for fan and equipment selection.
• Select fans, diffusers, grilles, registers, and related air distribution components.
• Design general exhaust systems and Dedicated Outdoor Air Systems (DOAS).
• Prepare design calculations, technical reports, equipment schedules, drawings, details, and markups.
• Coordinate HVAC systems with architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and BIM teams.
• Review client requirements, identify missing information, and raise RFIs as needed.
• Perform QA/QC reviews to ensure accuracy, constructability, code compliance, and consistency across deliverables.
