Job summary

Career Collective is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to design HVAC systems for diverse commercial and institutional projects. The role emphasizes ductwork design, detailed drawings, and load calculations to support multiple projects.

The ideal candidate has a ME degree, 2+ years of HVAC design experience, and proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD. EIT/PE preferred; designer opportunities available for non-licensed candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in HVAC / Mechanical Design Engineering; experience on commercial, mixed-use, multi-family, education, or mission-critical projects is a plus.
• EIT or PE license highly preferred, but non-licensed candidates will be considered for Designer positions.
• Experience using Revit and AutoCAD is required.
• Experience using Trane Trace, Trace 700, and/or Carrier HAP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• HVAC and ductwork design.
• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation.
• Prepare heating, ventilation, and air conditioning load calculations.
• Work on multiple projects including commercial, retail, healthcare, data center and more.
• Review and answer RFIs, review shop drawings, participate in field observations, and write reports.
• Collaborate with architecture, electrical, civil, and other disciplines.
