K Komfort Heating & Cooling in Grafton, WI is seeking an HVAC Design Engineer to lead design, coordination, and execution of systems for commercial, multifamily, and municipal projects. This role targets professionals with 2–5 years of HVAC design experience who want to grow within a fast‑growing contractor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Architectural Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of HVAC design experience.
• Current PE certification or pursuing PE.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, load calculations, and codes.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC systems with loads, equipment, ductwork, and piping layouts.
• Create construction drawings and specifications.
• Perform energy calculations and ensure code compliance.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other trades.
• Support design-build and design-assist projects from concept to construction.
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical input.
• Review submittals and assist with RFIs.
• Conduct site visits to verify conditions.
• Contribute to value engineering and cost optimization.
• Help develop internal engineering standards and train junior engineers.
