Job summary

K Komfort Heating & Cooling in Wisconsin is seeking an experienced HVAC installer for design-build and large-scale commercial projects. You will install, diagnose, and commission systems including chillers, boilers, VAVs, and VRF technology, reading blueprints and coordinating with other trades.

This role requires safety-conscious teamwork, strong problem-solving, and the ability to work on rooftops or mechanical rooms.

Qualifications

• HVAC installer with demonstrated experience on commercial equipment and large-scale systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
• Familiarity with BAS/DDC controls and building automation concepts.
• Proven safety consciousness and physical ability to work on rooftops and in mechanical rooms.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, diagnose, and repair large-scale HVAC equipment on commercial projects.
• Read blueprints and specifications to determine layout, materials, and sequence.
• Perform rough-in work, lay out ducts, and install vents, returns, and line sets.
• Finish work: install air handlers, furnaces, condensers, and controls; ensure proper airflow.
• Connect refrigerant piping, condensate drains, and low-voltage wiring per diagrams and codes.
• Measure and cut ductwork and piping; assemble as needed.
• Collaborate with project foreman and other trades for coordinated execution.
• Uphold safety standards and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Ensure installations meet building codes and project requirements.
• Additional duties as assigned.
