Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Sr. HVAC Design Engineer to drive innovation in the design of new HVAC products and upgrades for standard or special applications.

The role emphasizes quality, manufacturability, serviceability, and cost control, with timely delivery of projects. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree or related certification, 5+ years drafting experience, and HVAC experience across multiple product lines.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or a vocational certificate in electro/mechanical drafting or equivalent
• 5+ years of drafting experience
• 3 of which on multiple HVAC product lines
• Manufacturing processes and systems, engineering systems, product coding and assigned products required
• Knowledge of computers and engineering software such as AUTOCAD

Responsibilities

• Origin ideas and incorporate them into the design of new products or redesign existing products for standard or special applications with focus on quality, manufacturability, functionality, serviceability and cost
• Ensure projects are completed on or before established due dates
• Perform special engineering projects or complete design projects as assigned

Job Description Summary

Sr. HVAC Design EngineerSunbelt’s Sr. HVAC Design Engineer is equipped for success so we can make it happen for our customers.The Sr. HVAC Design Engineer will be empowered to originate ideas and incorporate them into the design of new products or redesign existing products for standard or special applications in a manner which ensures that consideration has been given to quality, manufacturability, functionality, serviceability and cost; and that projects are completed on or before established due dates. The Sr. HVAC Design Engineer also performs special engineering projects or complete special design projects.

Education or experience that prepares you for success:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or Vocational school certificate in electro/mechanical drafting or equivalent work experience

• 5+ years of drafting experience

• 3 of which was obtained on multiple product lines in the HVAC industry

Manufacturing processes and systems, engineering systems, product coding and assigned products required

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities you will rely on or develop:

• Knowledge of computers and AUTOCAD

• Mechanical, mathematical, and technical skills and abstract thinking and reasoning skills

Base Pay Range: $74,144.00 - 101,948.00
