Job summary

Catapult Federal Services is seeking experienced HVAC Technicians to support commercial/industrial projects in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. You will install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including RTUs, chillers, and VRF/VRV, with focus on safety and efficiency.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of experience, EPA certification, and the ability to read blueprints. On-site duties involve varied environments, with strong collaboration with PMs and clients; travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of HVAC experience (commercial/industrial preferred).
  • EPA Certification required.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams.
  • Experience with RTUs, chillers, VRF/VRV systems.
  • Lift 50+ lbs and work on rooftops/outdoor environments.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including RTUs, chillers, VRF/VRV systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and diagnostics.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical HVAC issues.
  • Read blueprints/diagrams and follow manuals.
  • Install ductwork, thermostats, and refrigerant lines.
  • Maintain accurate service records; communicate with PMs and clients.

Job Description

We are seeking experienced HVAC Technicians to support commercial and industrial projects across the Dallas-Fort Worth area. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, with a focus on quality, efficiency, and safety.

Ideal candidates have strong troubleshooting skills and experience working in high-demand environments such as commercial buildings or data centers. Technicians in this role will work with complex systems including RTUs, chillers, and VRF/VRV systems, and communicate regularly with project managers, supervisors, and clients.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including RTUs, chillers, split systems, and VRF/VRV systems
  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and system diagnostics
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical HVAC issues
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
  • Install and connect ductwork, thermostats, controls, and refrigerant lines
  • Test systems for proper functionality and efficiency
  • Ensure all work complies with local Dallas and Texas codes and safety standards
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, supervisors, and clients
Required Experience/Skills
  • 3+ years of HVAC experience (commercial/industrial preferred)
  • EPA Certification (required)
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, controls, and electrical components
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams
  • Experience with installation, service, or both
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various environments (rooftops, confined spaces, outdoors)
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Nice-to-Haves
  • Data center or mission-critical HVAC experience
  • Experience with chillers, cooling towers, and building automation systems (BAS)
  • NATE Certification or Texas HVAC License
  • Experience working on large commercial or industrial systems
Education

No formal education requirement specified; EPA Certification required, NATE Certification or Texas HVAC License a plus.
