Job summary

Johnstone Supply is seeking a Counter Sales Associate I to join our team in Charlotte. You will handle HVAC/R product inquiries, provide technical information, and assist customers in selecting parts while contributing to store profitability.

The role requires friendly, professional service in person and over the phone. Responsibilities include greeting customers, researching products, placing orders, processing quotes, and coordinating will-call orders.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in a wholesale/retail environment or similar setting.
• General knowledge of HVAC/R products and application desired.
• Ability to run a POS terminal, research parts, and prepare sales reports.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, assist with product selections, and provide friendly, professional service in-store and over the phone.
• Process transactions, quotes, warranties, and paperwork accurately while maintaining records.
• Respond to inquiries, handle orders, and coordinate product recommendations and promotions to grow sales.
• Maintain showroom appearance, assist in inventory counts, and follow SOPs to ensure profitability and customer satisfaction.
