Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a technician to perform on-site system commissioning and basic troubleshooting of HVAC controls. You will load software, document changes, and communicate progress with contractors and customers.

Ideal candidates have a 2-year degree in electronics/HVAC or 2+ years industry experience and a background in HVAC controls, electrical systems, and PC-based programming. Safety training is emphasized.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, or HVAC or 2+ years industry experience.
• Experience servicing electronic and/or mechanical HVAC systems is preferred.
• Ability to explain technical information to customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Performs system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools.
• Troubleshoots basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls issues.
• Loads system-level controller software and maintains documentation.
• Keeps customers and management informed of progress and issues.
