Job summary

The University of Arizona in Tucson is seeking a Building Automation Technician II. The Building Automations group maintains all HVAC controls, instrumentation, and utility metering across campus, ensuring energy-efficient operation.

Responsibilities include installing, calibrating sensors, upgrading controls, and quickly troubleshooting on-site. Applicants should have a high school diploma and at least three years of relevant experience, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and training.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to drive per University Fleet Safety Policy.

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains and repairs HVAC controls including pneumatic, electric and electronic controls.
• Tests and programs systems using tools and software to ensure proper operation.
• Troubleshoots HVAC control problems and replaces parts or updates programs as needed.
• Calibrates devices and inspects controls on a scheduled basis.
• Responds to service calls and troubleshoots issues on-site.
