Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks an on-site HVAC commissioning technician to perform system commissioning, diagnose basic HVAC issues, and document results. You will use Johnson Controls tools, communicate clearly with customers, and provide recommendations to improve building efficiency.

A 2-year degree in electronics or HVAC-related field or equivalent experience is required, with PC skills and HVAC software knowledge. Typical hourly wage ranges reflect education, experience, and market data.

Qualifications

• Requires a 2-year degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, or air conditioning.
• Or at least 2 years of industry experience servicing HVAC systems.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to explain technical information clearly.
• PC experience and ability to program HVAC related software.

Responsibilities

• Perform system commissioning using Johnson Controls tools and document results.
• Diagnose basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls issues on site.
• Provide on-site service and recommendations to improve building efficiency.
• Capture time sheets, expenses, and as-built information accurately.
