Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. seeks a skilled Building Automation Technician to perform system commissioning, troubleshoot HVAC controls, and support service calls on-site in Houston, TX. The role requires vocational/associate degree and 1–3 years of experience in HVAC or electronics.

You will document commissioning, provide on-site quotes, and ensure safety standards. Competitive hourly rate $23–$32 plus benefits; must be able to communicate clearly with customers and team members and travel to job

Qualifications

• Vocational School four year program or an Associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field plus three years of industry experience or 1 year experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems in the HVAC industry.
• HVAC controls systems and facilities management systems knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Loads system-level controller software and performs basic commissioning.
• Diagnoses system issues on controls and sensors; completes commissioning documentation.
• Keeps customer informed on progress and issues; provides quotes for recommendations.
• Follows safety standards and attends required safety training.
• Documents changes for as-built documentation and on-site reporting.
