Job summary

Johnson Controls in Houston, TX is seeking an HVAC Controls Systems Technician to perform system commissioning, troubleshoot basic HVAC controls, and respond to warranty calls. You will work with system-level controllers and end devices to ensure efficient operation.

You will load controller software, document commissioning steps, maintain safety standards, and provide solutions to improve building performance.

Qualifications

• Vocational School four year program or an Associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field plus three years of industry experience or 1 year experience servicing electronic and/or mechanical HVAC systems.
• Knowledge of HVAC controls systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques.
• Effective interpersonal skills to represent Johnson Controls to customers and outside contacts professionally.

Responsibilities

• Performs system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools.
• Troubleshoots basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems; responds to warranty calls.
• Loads system-level controller software and documents commissioning steps; maintains safety standards.
