Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a field service technician to service the Panhandle area. The role involves commissioning, diagnosing, and servicing HVAC systems to improve building efficiency.

You will load controller software, perform diagnostics on system controllers and end devices, and document all changes for as-built records while maintaining safety and professional customer relations.

Qualifications

• 3 years of industry experience or experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems in the HVAC industry.
• Knowledge of HVAC controls systems and facilities management systems.
• Ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people.
• Leadership to support Mechanics on non-complex, non-critical equipment.
• PC experience and ability to program HVAC related software.

Responsibilities

• Load system-level controller software and perform basic commissioning and diagnostics.
• Respond to basic warranty calls and resolve simple issues.
• Document commissioning and site changes for as-built records.
• Communicate progress and issues to management, contractors and customers.
• Adhere to safety standards and complete required training.
• Provide recommendations and quotes to improve facility efficiency.
