About the Role

As a BAS Controls Technician at BME, you'll leverage your specialized experience in programming, troubleshooting, and installing BAS to deliver top-tier service and solutions for our commercial and industrial customers. Key Responsibilities

Customer Relationship Building

  • Provide professional service and support to establish and maintain positive customer relationships.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their unique needs and offer tailored solutions.

BAS Installation & Setup

  • Install project software and configure systems on-site.
  • Integrate new equipment into existing BAS frameworks, ensuring seamless functionality.

System Troubleshooting & Maintenance

  • Diagnose and repair control discrepancies within commercial and industrial building automation systems.
  • Perform system commissioning via point-to-point loop checks, instrumentation, and software calibration/tuning.

System Upgrades & Programming

  • Make on-site modifications and additions to graphics, points, and software as required.
  • Perform programming updates in the field to optimize system performance.

Quality Assurance & Testing

  • Conduct functional tests for all building automation components.
  • Ensure that new installations and existing systems meet BME's high standards and customer expectations.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience as a BAS Controls Technician.
  • Strong background in HVAC controls and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents/blueprints.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft platform, including Adobe Acrobat and Visio.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.

:

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in electronics, mechanical, or HVAC technology.
  • Certifications in Niagara AX and Niagara 4.
  • Hands-on experience with JCI, Honeywell, or Distech systems.
  • Solid understanding of computer networking fundamentals.
