In this role, you will support the design, configuration, and implementation of building control systems for HVAC, fire, security, and other low-voltage applications, working closely with project, engineering, sales, and field teams to deliver solutions that meet project and customer requirements.
We are looking for a Controls Project Engineer to assist with engineering design, software support, documentation, and project execution for building automation projects. Under general supervision, you will help develop control system solutions using AutoCAD, BIM, and other engineering tools while supporting successful delivery from design through commissioning and turnover.
Work safely and with accountability, keeping Johnson Controls safety standards at the center of every task. Stay close to the project details, follow contract documents carefully, and remove obstacles quickly when issues arise. Use clear communication and organized documentation to keep engineers, project teams, field technicians, and customers aligned. Approach commissioning and troubleshooting with curiosity, candor, and a continuous improvement mindset. Collaborate across functions and value different perspectives to help the team deliver reliable results. Build technical knowledge of building automation systems, control theory, and industry best practices through hands‑on project support. Maintain accurate records so drawings, software, and field changes remain current throughout the project lifecycle.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $68,000 - $93,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This role offers a competitive Bonus plan that will take into account individual, group, and corporate performance. This position includes a competitive benefits package.
