Job summary
Leoforce in New York City seeks a HVAC Controls Engineer/Project Manager to lead BAS system integrations, optimizations, and full system replacements for commercial buildings. You will drive projects end-to-end, mentor team members, and serve as the main contact for stakeholders.
The role requires 4+ years in HVAC/controls, BACnet/Modbus/Niagara experience, DDC programming, and strong communication and AutoCAD proficiency. Browse complex multi-building projects with a dynamic team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in EE, ME, CE, Math or Physics or equivalent.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in HVAC/controls industry.
- BACnet, Modbus, Niagara experience required.
- DDC controller programming and third-party device integration experience.
- Strong communication, negotiating and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop custom energy reporting, power metering, and billing programs.
- Produce drawings, sequences of operation, and BOMs for BAS projects.
- Develop BMS databases (programming/graphics) per specs.
- Design and support network migration for BACnet/Modbus platforms.
- Maintain accurate As-Built drawings and update AutoCAD/Visio/Excel/Word as needed.
- Visit field sites to fine-tune sequences and support commissioning.
