Job summary

JM Mechanical, LLC in Utah is seeking an HVAC Controls Apprentice to assist with installation and startup of low-voltage control systems on commercial projects. Travel is required, with lodging and travel allowances provided according to policy.

You will install conduit and low-voltage cabling, mount control devices, assist startup and testing, and follow project plans and safety standards while documenting daily progress.

Qualifications

• Experience with low-voltage wiring in construction is required.
• Valid driver's license.
• Willingness and ability to travel out of town during the work week and return home for weekends.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and grow in HVAC controls and building automation.

Responsibilities

• Install conduit, raceways, and low-voltage cabling.
• Mount and wire control devices, including sensors, relays, and other components.
• Assist with system startup, testing, and verification.
• Follow project plans, schedules, and safety standards.
• Complete daily reports and project documentation.
