Job summary

Getzschmans Heating & Cooling in Omaha is seeking a HVAC Construction Supervisor to lead commercial installation crews and actively work in the field. You will oversee daily on-site activities, ensure safety, quality, and schedule alignment, and collaborate with the team to deliver projects on time.

The ideal candidate brings 3–5 years of commercial HVAC construction experience, 1–2 years in leadership, and strong knowledge of codes, blueprints, and coordination.

• 1-2 years of crew leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC installation, codes, and construction practices.
• Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and specifications.
• Experience coordinating crews, materials, and job site activities.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability and willingness to work hands-on alongside the installation crew.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead and work alongside HVAC construction crews on assigned job sites.
• Oversee daily installation activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications.
• Assign tasks, coordinate manpower, and monitor crew productivity.
• Ensure installations meet quality standards, building codes, and project requirements.
• Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, and job site needs.
• Provide hands-on guidance, training, and support to crew members.
• Conduct daily safety briefings and enforce job site safety standards.
• Communicate project progress, challenges, and updates to the Manager of HVAC Commercial Construction.
• Identify and resolve job site issues to help keep projects on schedule.
• Maintain accurate job site documentation and daily reporting.

Role Overview

Getzschman is looking for a HVAC Construction Supervisor to lead commercial HVAC construction crews while actively working alongside the team in the field. This role is responsible for overseeing daily job site activities, ensuring quality installations, maintaining safety standards, and keeping projects on schedule.

The ideal candidate is an experienced commercial HVAC installer or field leader who enjoys leading by example, developing team members, and staying involved in the day-to-day work.
