Job summary

Action Air Systems, Inc. seeks an experienced HVAC Project Manager / Estimator in Manchester, CT. The role blends hands-on project leadership with estimating expertise to manage commercial HVAC construction from bid to finish.

The ideal candidate will coordinate budgets, schedules, field operations, vendors, and project teams, with strong skills in reading blueprints, takeoffs, and cost analysis. Design-Build experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• HVAC systems, ductwork, piping, and mechanical construction experience preferred.
• Strong reading and interpretation of blueprints and specifications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to read safety and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

• Lead HVAC construction projects from bid through completion.
• Coordinate budgets, schedules, field operations, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Direct project team and communicate schedule to field and office staff.
• Prepare detailed estimates from blueprints and specs; perform quantity takeoffs.
• Review proposals, staffing requirements, and project timelines.
