Position Summary

Under minimal supervision, performs diagnostic and service work on commercial (rooftop) HVAC equipment and accessories. Communicates with commercial customers to answer questions, resolve problems, and ensure complete customer satisfaction. Works under the direction of the Field Supervisor or Branch Manager to support the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform commercial HVAC service and maintenance calls following safety protocols.
  • Diagnose and resolve customer issues professionally and efficiently.
  • Service commercial heating, cooling, boilers, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment.
  • Inspect equipment for potential problems and perform routine maintenance.
  • Manage parts and equipment logistics.
  • Record all service details accurately using handheld devices.
  • Communicate with dispatch and ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Promote products and services, and generate leads from customer visits.
  • Maintain company property and tools properly.
  • Represent the company professionally and ethically.
  • Ensure vehicle is properly stocked and warranty parts are managed.
  • Assist in training other technicians as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and maintain reliable attendance.

Health & Safety Roles And Responsibilities

  • Report unsafe acts, conditions, and hazards immediately.
  • Use and maintain PPE as prescribed.
  • Follow safety procedures and participate in safety initiatives.
  • Report injuries or incidents promptly.
  • Work in compliance with legal requirements and safety standards.

Desired Skills And Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED, with 2+ years experience in commercial HVAC; NATE certification preferred.
  • Valid licensing/certification as required by local laws.
  • Skilled in servicing and troubleshooting commercial HVAC equipment.
  • Proficient in reading wiring diagrams and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Effective communication and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable record.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and on-call shifts.
  • Physical ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Vision and mobility requirements for the job.

Annual Compensation Range: Minimum $56,825.60, Maximum $85,259.20
