Job Purpose:As an HVAC Comfort Advisor at Sailor's Air & Plumbing, you will be responsible for helping homeowners find the right heating and cooling solutions for their homes. You'll combine technical HVAC knowledge with a consultative sales approach to educate customers, present system options, and close deals that improve comfort, efficiency, and value for every household you serve.Key Responsibilities:Conduct in-home consultations to assess customers' comfort needs, current systems, and budget.Recommend and present HVAC system replacement, upgrade, and maintenance plan options tailored to each customer.Build accurate, transparent quotes and proposals using company pricing and financing tools.Educate customers on system performance, energy efficiency, and long-term value to support informed buying decisions.Meet or exceed individual sales targets and contribute to overall branch revenue goals.Follow up with leads and past customers to nurture relationships and generate repeat/referral business.Collaborate with install and service teams to ensure a smooth handoff and customer experience post-sale.Stay current on HVAC products, promotions, financing options, and industry trends to speak credibly with customers.Maintain CRM records, sales pipeline updates, and required documentation for every opportunity.Uphold company standards for professionalism, integrity, and customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.Qualifications/Requirements:High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or trade certification in HVAC a plus.1-3+ years of experience in outside sales, in-home sales, or a consultative/B2C sales environment (HVAC or home services industry preferred).Working knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and terminology sufficient to speak credibly with customers and technicians (prior HVAC installation/service experience is a strong plus, but not required).Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.Strong communication, presentation, and active-listening skills; comfortable presenting pricing and closing deals face-to-face.Ability to build rapport and trust quickly with homeowners from diverse backgrounds.Familiarity with CRM software and basic proposal/estimating tools (or willingness to learn company-specific systems).Valid driver's license and clean driving record; reliable transportation for in-home appointments.Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.Flexible schedule, including some evenings/weekends to accommodate customer availability.Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working independently in the field.
