Job summary

United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental provider, seeks a Climate Solutions Tech (Service Tech I) in the Power/HVAC division. You will perform jobsite installations and minor repairs safely, operate the delivery vehicle, and install HVAC and dehumidification equipment at customer sites.

You will deliver outstanding customer service while growing toward higher tech roles. Daily duties include equipment demonstrations, reporting conditions, and assisting with loading/unloading.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Basic knowledge with repairing and maintaining HVAC equipment preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools used in HVAC work.
• Excellent customer service, teamwork and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift items up to 45 lbs. frequently.
• Willingness to be on an on-call rotation for 24/7 emergency service.

Responsibilities

• Perform jobsite installations and minor repairs on equipment in a safe, professional manner.
• Safely operate the delivery vehicle and install HVAC equipment and dehumidification/air purification equipment.
• Report equipment condition before and after usage; demonstrate equipment to customers.
• Assist with loading and unloading equipment at customer locations.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned.
