Job summary

Carrier, a global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions, is seeking Traveling HVAC Data Center Chiller Technicians to install, diagnose, and maintain data center cooling systems across sites. This role offers long-term rotational travel (4 weeks on, 1 week off) and the chance to advance in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of practical HVAC experience in the field.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with Carrier, Trane and Daikin air-cooled and water-cooled centrifugal chillers.
• Basic understanding of building automation controls (BOMAC).
• Experience with data centers is a plus.
• Water-side systems knowledge (hot water, chilled water, condenser water).

Responsibilities

• Participate in startup and commissioning of new data center chillers and units.
• Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshoot mechanical/electrical issues.
• Review regulatory requirements and interpret blueprints/diagrams.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and escalate issues for resolution.
• Prioritize safety and complete required safety training.

Travel to different Data Center Sites long-term rotational travel schedule (4weeks traveling / 1week off)

• ~ Participate in startup and commissioning of new units, applyingexpertiseto supporta state-of-the-artfacility.
• ~ Perform diagnostic tests, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical malfunctions, and execute regularly scheduled maintenance on heating and cooling units.
• ~ Review and interpret regulatory requirements and technical documents, including blueprints and diagrams.
• ~ Cultivate strong customer relationships and ensuretimelyescalation of issues for resolution when necessary.
• ~ Prioritize safety by adhering to licensing requirements, operating equipment safely, recognizing HVAC-related hazards, completing safety training, and implementing effective safety measures.

As a Traveling HVAC Service Technician, you understand the importance of providing expert service and quality. 5+ years practical working experience in the HVAC Industry

• ~ High School Diploma/GED
• ~ Experience on Carrier, Trane and Daiken Air Cooled and Water-Cooled Centrifugal Chillers
• ~ Basic understanding of building automation controls (BOMAC)
• ~ Experience with data centers
• ~ Water-side systems (hot water, chilled water, condenser water
• Paid travel time after the first hour and on-call schedule for better work-life balance (rotations every 7-8 weeksin most locations)
