Carrier is seeking Traveling HVAC Data Center Chiller Technicians to deliver reliable cooling solutions for data centers. This role involves long-term rotational travel (4 weeks traveling, 1 week off) and leading teams to ensure customer comfort and project success.

Candidates should have 5+ years in HVAC, experience with Carrier/Trane/Daikin chillers, and a strong safety mindset. Travel time is paid after the first hour; union benefits and travel support provided.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on HVAC industry experience.
• Experience with data centers and Carrier/Trane/Daikin air cooled and water cooled chillers.
• Knowledge of building automation controls (BOMAC).
• Experience working in data-center environments.

Responsabilités

• Participate in startup and commissioning of new units.
• Perform diagnostic tests and maintenance on heating and cooling units.
• Review regulatory requirements and technical documents, including schematics.
• Cultivate customer relationships and escalate issues to ensure resolution.
• Prioritize safety by following licensing requirements and wearing proper PPE.

Responsibilities

• ~ Participate in startup and commissioning of new units, applyingexpertiseto supporta state-of-the stateof-the state-hafacility.
• ~ Perform diagnostic tests, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical malfunctions, and execute regularly scheduled maintenance on heating and cooling units.
• ~ Review and interpret regulatory requirements and technical documents, including blueprints and diagrams.
• ~ Cultivate strong customer relationships and ensuretimelyescalation of issues for resolution when necessary.
• ~ Prioritize safety by adhering to licensing requirements, operating equipment safely, recognizing HVAC-related hazards, completing safety training, and implementing effective safety measures.

As a Traveling HVAC Service Technician, you understand the importance of providing expert service and quality. 5+ years practical working experience in the HVAC Industry

Requirements

• ~ High School Diploma/GED
• ~ Experience on Carrier, Trane and Daiken Air Cooled and Water-Cooled Centrifugal Chillers
• ~ Basic understanding of building automation controls (BOMAC)
• ~ Experience with data centers
• ~ Water‑side systems (hot water, chilled water, condenser water
• Paid travel time after the first hour and on-call schedule for better work-life balance (rotations every 7-8 weeksin most locations)
• ~ Company providedvehiclewith gas cards
• ~ Steel-toed boots, Carrier-branded uniforms with FR protection, HVAC gloves, hard hats, and face shields
• ~ Benefits are provided under applicable union agreements andgenerally includemedical insurance, retirement, tuition reimbursement, vacation, holidays, and other time off.

The hourly rate for this position is between$38.00- $76.00 per hour.
