As an HVAC Chiller Mechanic, you will support startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and aftermarket service for commercial HVAC equipment. You will work directly with customers to solve facility inefficiencies, deliver service solutions, and support recommendations that improve system performance. This is a hands‑on field role for a skilled technician who takes pride in safety, service quality, and technical problem‑solving.
Own the work with accountability, safety, and integrity in every service visit, startup, and customer interaction. Stay close to the equipment and the customer’s needs so you can quickly identify root causes and remove obstacles to performance. Approach each job with a continuous improvement mindset, using clear problem‑solving, candid communication, and disciplined follow‑through. Work as one team with branch mechanics, leaders, and customers by sharing knowledge, supporting others, and valuing different perspectives. Use your technical judgment to diagnose issues, explain findings clearly, and deliver practical solutions that support long‑term system reliability. Leverage training through Johnson Controls’ Service Technical Academy (STA) to build product knowledge, strengthen service capability, and support career growth.
Hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet. Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement.
