Job summary

MIT Lincoln Laboratory in Lexington, MA is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to operate and maintain a semi-automated chilled water plant, including York Turbomaster chillers, pumps, valves, and related systems. The role requires five years in refrigeration and relevant licenses.

Candidates will maintain logs, support building automation systems, and respond to emergencies while complying with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Five years of refrigeration experience with central chilled water plants.
• Massachusetts Refrigeration Technician’s License required.
• Experience with Building Automation Systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain a semi-automated Chilled Water Plant with York Turbomaster Chillers and related equipment.
• Maintain records and logs of plant operations.
• Install and maintain air conditioning and refrigeration systems and components.
• Operate and maintain compressed air systems and low-pressure steam heating systems.
• Respond to emergency HVAC problems as needed.
• Stand 70–80% of the time and perform related physical tasks.
