Job summary

Gates Hudson in Fredericksburg, VA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the daily, hands-on upkeep of our residential community. You will perform routine and preventive maintenance to keep apartments, buildings, and common areas safe and welcoming for residents.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of residential maintenance experience, is HVAC certified, and capable of diagnosing plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and related systems while working independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• HVAC certified preferred.
• Minimum two years of residential property maintenance experience.
• Ability to diagnose plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and related systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance on apartments, buildings, and common areas.
• Complete service requests promptly and efficiently.
• Diagnose and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, carpentry, drywall.
• Assist with unit turnovers and prepare apartments for new residents.
• Maintain organized stock rooms, tools, and maintenance areas.
