Job summary

The Valcap Group is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician (HVAC certified or willing to become certified) to join our apartment community maintenance team in Kingsport, TN. You will perform routine and emergency maintenance, troubleshoot HVAC systems, and ensure residents enjoy a safe, comfortable living environment.

Ideal candidates have HVAC certification or experience, and knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliance repair, and carpentry.

Qualifications

HVAC certification or HVAC experience preferred.
Experience maintaining and repairing apartment community systems.
Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliance repair and carpentry.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Customer-service oriented and reliable.

Responsibilities

Perform routine and emergency maintenance promptly and professionally.
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems.
Handle general repairs including plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, and preventative maintenance.
Ensure equipment, tools, and work areas are kept in good condition.
Assist with unit inspections, turnovers, and curb appeal.
Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours maintenance emergencies.
Follow safety procedures and company standards.
