Burlington Capital Properties is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at West Briar Commons in Sioux Falls, SD. The ideal candidate will perform routine and preventive maintenance, handle make-ready turns, and troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of apartment/property maintenance experience.
• HVAC certification required; heat pump experience required.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable MVR.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple work orders.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance requests in a timely, professional manner.
• Perform preventative maintenance on apartments, common areas, and grounds.
• Make-ready turns for new residents per company standards.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, drywall, and carpentry.
• Inspect property amenities for cleanliness and operation.
• Maintain exterior grounds and curb appeal.
• Coordinate with residents, Community Manager, and vendors.
• Assist with warranty claims and repairs as applicable.
• Comply with safety regulations and company policies.
• Respond to emergency maintenance during on-call rotations.
