Job summary

CSA Group has an opening for a Certification Specialist - HVAC who applies deep knowledge of HVAC standards (including UL 60335-2-40) to certify, test, and evaluate products for compliance. You will interpret requirements, prepare reports, and support the CSA Mark issuance while collaborating with the Technical Lead.

The role demands strong project management, the ability to handle complex certification projects, and the capability to deliver on time and within budget across multiple programs;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and relevant registration/experience in HVAC certification.
• Strong knowledge of CSA/UL/IEC standards and HVAC-specific requirements.
• Experience interpreting standards and preparing technical certification documents.

Responsibilities

• Manage certification projects concurrently, meeting time, cost, and revenue targets.
• Evaluate products against national/international standards and provide technical decisions.
• Prepare reports and certificates of compliance; support CSA Mark issuance.
• Collaborate with Technical Lead to develop staff expertise and test methods.
• Conduct facility assessments and witness tests at customer sites when required.
• Provide technical guidance and respond to inquiries on standards and compliance.
