Job summary

Hunton Engineered Products (HEP) in Houston seeks an experienced Mechanical Designer to lead CAD efforts for HVAC products, including 2D drawings and 3D models, BOMs and documentation. You'll draft parts and assemblies for NPD and modified equipment, collaborating with engineering, operations and 3rd party partners.

Qualified candidates have an Associate’s Degree in Design or Engineering Technology, 5+ years CAD experience, and proficiency with SolidWorks, Inventor or AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CAD design experience in HVAC or related equipment.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, sheet metal and tolerances.
• Ability to translate instructions into precise drawings and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain 2D drawings and 3D models for HVAC products.
• Develop and maintain Bills of Material (BOM) and engineering documentation.
• Support new product development and modification of equipment.
• Translate instructions into drawings and manage documentation/control.
