Job summary

Adecco US, Inc. in Honolulu is partnering with a respected Hawaii engineering consulting firm to hire a Mechanical Engineer (HVAC / Building Systems).

You will design HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems for educational, healthcare, commercial, and public-sector projects, contributing from concept through construction. Recent graduates, EITs, and junior engineers are encouraged to apply, with strong mentorship and hands-on training, supporting long-term professional growth including PE

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical building systems.
• Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and system layouts.
• Prepare engineering calculations, specifications, and construction documents.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Review submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings.
• Conduct site visits and construction observations.
• Support energy-efficient and sustainable design solutions.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes and industry standards.
