Job summary

Gwinnett County Public Schools is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to perform installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, cooling, and refrigeration equipment across district facilities.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, at least 2 years of HVAC/refrigeration experience, and HVAC training preferred, with strong ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively. On-site work with district safety protocols and after-hours availability when needed.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• 2 years HVAC/refrigeration experience required.
• HVAC training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled installation and preventive maintenance of HVAC systems.
• Repair boilers, chillers, pumps, and control systems.
• Follow local, state, and federal codes and safety procedures.
• Record repairs and parts used per guidelines.
• Supervise contractors and coordinate with district staff.
• Work after hours as needed and be on call.
