Job summary

JLL is hiring an HVAC Mechanic / Building Engineer in Bradley, IL. You will operate, maintain, and repair HVAC/R and building systems, troubleshoot BAS and related equipment, and ensure safety and uptime across facilities.

The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, documentation, and strong customer service in a dynamic real estate environment. The position requires EPA 608 certification, 3–5 years of field experience, and proficiency with CMMS/SAP.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of field experience with trade school training or 5 years total field experience.
• 4+ years of technical building engineering experience with HVAC/R, plumbing, and electrical maintenance.
• Universal EPA 608 Certification with HVAC system design, repair, electrical, and controls knowledge.
• Strong verbal and written communication and customer-service skills.
• Proficiency with CMMS/SAP and basic computer tools for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Operate, inspect, maintain and repair HVAC/R systems and related equipment.
• Respond to service requests and perform preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing and building systems.
• Maintain accurate system documentation and update work orders in CMMS and SAP.
• Complete safety inspections, identify hazards, and escalate issues to management.
• Attend training, support technical team operations and onboarding as needed.
