Johnson Controls in Ohio seeks an HVAC Controls Systems Engineer to design and implement intelligent HVAC control systems for modern infrastructure. You will design hardware and develop software aligned with project goals, guiding field teams and installation partners toward reliable, energy-efficient operation.

You will lead commissioning, update documentation, and deliver site-specific training for operators, while emphasizing safety, collaboration, and proactive problem-solving to ensure

Qualifications

• 3+ years installing and commissioning Metasys systems.
• 3+ years installing and commissioning Metasys systems.
• Proficient with Metasys tools RAC Schedule, CCT, SCT and Visio.
• Solid understanding of mechanical/electrical/control systems.
• Strong problem-solving and quick-learning abilities.

Responsibilities

• Innovative Design: draw from standard library to create flow diagrams, network layouts, and schematics.
• Smart Programming: code HVAC control software using design standards for peak performance.
• Design Communication: coordinate drawings and equipment schedules for submittals.
• Project Execution: select, order, and manage materials, align with mounting timelines.
• Hands-On Commissioning: collaborate during installation to validate full system functionality.
• As-Built Precision: capture field updates and revise system documentation.
• Customer Collaboration: keep stakeholders updated and train operators on-site.
• Documentation Mastery: record time sheets, expenses, and project notes.

• Design Communication: Coordinate detailed drawings and equipment schedules for submittals that make your vision crystal-clear.
• Project Execution: Select, order, and manage materials, and align with factory-mounting timelines to keep every project humming smoothly.
• Hands-On Commissioning: Collaborate during installation to validate full system functionality, troubleshoot roadblocks, and deliver seamless operation.
• As-Built Precision: Capture field updates, revise system documentation, and prepare comprehensive operation manuals.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Hands-On Expertise: At least 3 years of real-world experience installing and commissioning Johnson Controls Metasys systems, including system-level controllers.
• Tech Savvy: Confident user of Metasys Tools like RAC Schedule, CCT, SCT, and Visio—these are your playgrounds.
• System Insight: Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
• Quick Learner: Strong technical aptitude with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and learning new technologies.
• Digital Dexterity: Advanced computer skills, especially with drafting tools, to translate vision into design.

Preferred Qualifications

• Educational Foundation: associate or bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering, Computer Science—or equivalent field experience.
• 5+ years in the HVAC industry
• Proven track record installing and commissioning control systems
• Or background in designing or analyzing mechanical/electrical building systems

HIRING SALARY RANGE
