Job summary

The University of Southern California’s Facilities Planning & Management team seeks an Engineer Module C to perform standard engineering procedures, preventive maintenance, and repair of boilers and HVAC systems, ensuring safe and efficient operation.

You will lead and mentor Zone Maintenance Technicians, estimate materials, respond to emergencies, and work from blueprints and diagrams to keep USC facilities running at peak performance.

Qualifications

• Four years of trade-related training or apprenticeship; journeyman experience preferred.
• Proficiency with safety practices, codes (city/state), and standard trade procedures.
• Experience in boiler/heating and ventilating system maintenance and repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine safety checks on boilers, furnaces, and HVAC equipment.
• Lead and mentor Zone Maintenance Technicians to ensure quality workmanship.
• Estimate materials and prepare reports/maintenance records.
• Respond to on-call emergencies and work from blueprints/specifications.
