Job summary

E.M. Duggan is seeking a highly skilled HVAC CAD & Revit Designer to join our Design & BIM team.

This role focuses on creating and maintaining detailed HVAC and mechanical piping drawings and 3D models for large-scale projects, coordinating with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure constructibility and code compliance. The ideal candidate has strong HVAC knowledge, fabrication-driven design experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Navisworks, and related BIM tools,

Qualifications

• HVAC and mechanical drafting experience in commercial/industrial construction.
• Ability to read drawings, specs, and submittals for coordinated BIM models.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Navisworks, and fabrication CAD tools.
• Knowledge of codes, standards, and constructible design practices.
• Strong communication and coordination across trades.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and maintain HVAC and piping drawings and 3D models.
• Prepare layouts for hot/high/low temperature systems and associated piping.
• Produce coordinated construction documents and erection drawings.
• Generate fabrication spool sheets and detailed drawings with shop coordination.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing, and field teams.
• Perform clash detection and participate in BIM coordination meetings.
