Description

At Ridgecrest Conference Center, we are dedicated to impacting lives for God's glory through purposeful hospitality. Our facility offers a welcoming environment for events, meetings, and spiritual retreats, combining serene environments with warm, personalized service.

Our HVAC Technicians assist in providing a clean, healthy, safe, and well-maintained environment for conference center guests through preventative maintenance and repair of boilers, hot water systems, mechanical systems, HVAC, refrigeration, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with repair and preventative maintenance on all mechanical, electrical, and environmental control systems.
  • Assist with installation and/or replacement of mechanical equipment and related accessories, HVAC systems, energy management systems, and refrigeration equipment.
  • Assist with monitoring and maintaining energy management systems to provide indoor air quality and comfortable temperatures of interior spaces.
Requirements
Skills
  • High level of integrity and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to meet quality standards.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of current technologies in HVAC areas.
  • Familiar with National Electrical, Fire Alarm, and local codes concerning all mechanical systems.
  • Maintain understanding of basic electronics.
  • Ability to read and understand schematics and blueprint drawings.
Education, Work Experience, and Other Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Required certification to reclaim and recycle CFC and HCFC refrigerants (or successful completion of such certification within 6 months of entering this position).
  • Vocational training or equivalent experience (2 years preferred).
  • Willingness to complete certifications as needed to work on equipment or already completed in trade school or program.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Must possess the necessary physical stamina for walking/standing/working for extended periods (up to 12 hours).
  • Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively.
  • Good body mobility with good range of motion from floor level to overhead.
  • Able to work outdoors in varying and inclement weather conditions.
  • Work will include significant amounts of bending, stretching, kneeling, twisting, climbing, and lifting on a daily basis.
  • Must possess the ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Some night and weekend work will be necessary. Emergency callback may be required.
